I’m not a big fan of the way Vilco does there Cat pump head repair. I like the way the company Kleen-Rite has do the head repair where they press in the stainless sleeve. I still think you need to get to the root of the problem. How long has that head been installed?
I can't find any info on Kleen Rite's webpage about them resleeving Cat Pump heads.

The head was replaced about 8 months ago, Cat pump tech support thinks it might have something to do with the Ph strength of my chemicals but it's only happening in one bay so if it were my chemicals it should be doing this on the other heads which it isn't. Anyways they are going to send me a free replacement under warranty. Kevin I agree with you something caused this and

Dynajet also presses in a sleeve, no inserts with o-rings, and they do all ports for one price.
I tried calling and emailing Dynajet about a month ago...Even left a voice mail and no one ever returned my call or email....Maybe they aren't in business any more? I put a Vilco head in service about a month ago and it is doing fine....

I hope they're still in business, I just sent off three manifolds to them.

He may be having trouble getting things running smoothly.
Maybe so. I was going to send him a head to compare against Vilco, but was not going to send one when I wasn't getting any response.

I totally agree with that. I was just wanting to let others know that he planned to continue doing this after his dad's passing.

IB, I had heard the same thing. Plus the website is still up. So confused as to what's going on. Maybe someone will chime in to explain further? I would think that would be a lucrative business to continue?

Reviving this old thread or at least trying to but.....I am trying to decide on who to send my CAT 5CP head to in order to get re-sleeved. So far I am looking at all the names here

Dyna Jet - Does anyone know if they are still in business? Haven't heard back and I couldn't leave a voicemail when I called.
IDS
Vilco

any more thoughts?

I think Stan at Dyna jet passed away a while back and his son took over as a side line. I had a head sleeved by Vilco for a customer and wasn't to impressed. I don't know anything about IDS. http://idspumprepair.com/index.php

Dynajet is still doing pumps. I talked to someone not too long ago, he's too busy to answer calls and emails but he's doing everything he can to keep the process going. Just send your manifold(s) with a piece of paper that include a return address and phone number and they'll call you for a credit card # when it's done. I've had them redo probably 50 manifolds over the years and never had an issue.

Vilco doesn't permanently resleeve the valve seats, they machine it and put in an insert that adds an o-ring under it where it can still wash out again.

Someone told me he sent a head to IDS and they only redid the high pressure seal area even though it needed the valve areas done too, and it still cost more than Dynajet.

Kleen-Rite resleeves for about $200; that is who I use for 310s and 5CPs. Tried Vilco once; it did not work. Could not get pump to stop pulsating. Kleen-Rite units has been flawless for me.

IIRC Kleen-Rite used to run them through Vilco. They might be using Dynajet now.

$200 plus 2 way shipping is how much vs new?
You can ship it to them in a Priority Mail flat rate box for $15.05. The way they gouge on shipping, I'm guessing about $40 for them to send it back. Their price on a new head is $488.58 + $40 for shipping, so about double for a new head.

How much does the rebuilt head extend the life? New Pump is $608.
