Hamilton changer XE validator. Insert $20 gives quarters $5.00 or more and then returns Bill, and goes out of service. Swapped out hopper - same issue - swapped out bill accepter - same issue. Simple Fix?

It's not in the Hopper. There's only things it could be the controller or the validator. Check switches on the validator and turn switch #2 On. My thoughts are that it would be in the validator. What are the error codes on the validator and on the controller? Do you have all of the other switch's other than #2 in the Off position?

Before I got to the Changer I had just finished connecting broken conveyor chain and forgot to check the codes. This changer does not have a dual stacker and my others do so I had no energy to start swapping everything around. I will take the brain in for service. Thx or the suggestion.

Now it all comes out that your using a dual stacker. Earl, check switch #4 and make sure it is in the On position, with the Hamilton validators "On" is really "Off" and "Off" is "On". Switch #4 controlls the dual stacker. If you use a XE validator with switch #4 "On" the changer will do what your describing. Also check the back of the controller and make sure switch #2 is Off on the configuration switch on the inside of the C-2000 controller. Switch #2 controls the Dual stacker.

Randy for the win! Now, how did my assistant hit that switch by accident?
