Hello,
In my area we have a crime wave with many car washes under attack. I have another post about meter box break ins. I just heard from the owner of a wash in the area that the thief broke into a rear load changer using a grinder with a cut off wheel, who just chopped a hole in the front of the changer faceplate and pulled everything out the front. The alarm didn’t go off as they didn’t break into the room. Anyone have experience adding security features to your changers? I was thinking to weld like a 1/2” stainless plate on the front to beef it up. I was also thinking to add motion sensors inside the changers. Anyone try that? I wonder if the coins moving in the hopper or anything else would give false alarms?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
