Changing WSII Faceplate Sticker

I need to replace the Face Plate sticker on my WSII. What is the best way to remove the old one? Heat Gun?

I have the exact same issue. My concern is getting a new sticker on without it wrinkling or getting creases in it. I suspect the best way would be to take the door off and lay it down to do it. Are you doing your sticker on or off the machine?
 
Reds, when applying the new door decal, spray it with Windex or similar product. Then you can apply the decal and move it around until you get it in the right position. Wipe it down with a small squeegee or towel and let it dry. Don't over spray it and don't take all day doing this.
 
Windex works, but it interferes with the adhesion. You'll usually end up with the edges and corners lifting off because of moisture wicking in through the film of Windex under the decal. It only takes a couple drops of dish soap in a pint of water to get the decal applied with no wrinkles or bubbles. You don't need it soapy enough to slide the decal in place, you just need to be able to lift it off and reposition it if necessary before you squeegee it down.
 
Mep is correct. You can also buy specialty spray for this that I use for my vinyl signs. Sorry, I ditched the can and just have t in a spray bottle, so no brand name...but all sign supply stores would carry it.
 
You can probably find the recipe on line, I think that it was 25% isotropic, not rubbing, water and a drop or two of dish soap.

Big, did you get your old sticker off with a heat gun? Or find another way?
 
I've done it twice. I did it the hard way because I am ham-fisted and knew I would screw up that decal if I tried to do it quickly. I removed the door from the unit so I could lay it flat inside the equipment room and not worry about the wind. I removed all hardware off the door. I removed the decal as best as I could with a heat gun, then used aerosol paint stripper to clean the surface to bare metal. The door has an angle in it and it can be a bit challenging to get it just right. I use water with just a drop of dishwashing detergent to apply the decal. But the decal is thick which makes the application easier. I'd say the job looked almost as good as factory. The total job took me probably three hours, with probably most of that time spent getting the glue off the door.
 
Spent about 90 mins getting it done. 60 mins of it getting decal and glue off (used Tarminator).

The I need to make some mods for the canadian aspects of the WSII (made some of the decals. The old one was mostly just scratched up. So with this one I added a layer of clear vinyl. So when it gets damaged, I'll peel off and put a new clear vinyl layer on.
