Coin acceptor

Hello all - newbie here. I have a 4 bay ss. Long story but the wash was vandalized before I got it and there are no coin acceptors.

Does anyone have a preferred make/model of coin acceptor that they can recommend? I have Dixmor led 6 timers. The control panels in the bays appear to take a 2” face plate and there is maybe 6 inches or so from the coin slot to the hole in the vault where the coins fall.
Thanks

A few pictures would be nice. I like ether the Slugbuster or the Microcoin QL, we have both and are happy with both of them.

Microcoin is better than Slugbuster (IMO and from our experience with both). Microcoin you can train, Slugbuster requires a sample coin.

I've had a lot of problems with Slugbuster II and III. It might be my customers blasting the coins in as hard as they can, but with Slugbuster III I end up with dollar coins and tokens that aren't mine getting past the gate. Slugbuster II can't distinguish between a quarter and a dollar coin, and the dollar coin jams my changer. I tried a couple Microcoin QL and I've had a lot of trouble with them jamming. I replaced one with a SecureCoin and haven't had any problems with it. If I took quarters only I'd stick with Sensortron or Slugbuster I.

Check to see if you have short drop or long drop coin acceptors.I have been using secure coin acceptors for several years and I am happy with them. They are programmed for quarters and the dollar coin and can learn 3 coins of your choosing.

Does the Secure Coin acceptor reject quarters if it is "blasted" into the coin slot? Perhaps, I had an isolated issue, but when I tried a Secure Coin acceptor the quarters would be rejected if they were not slowly dropped into the coin slot. Is this still the case? I never had that problem with Slugbusters or Sensortrons.

I have around 30 of the secure coins in service and it has never been a problem for me of people blasting quarters through.
