Coleman Solenoid Question

I am looking to replace the solenoid on a Coleman supersaver.

I understand this is a 24V system. But is this AC or DC?
I believe this is the right part: 24 Volt Normally Closed Solenoid Valve | Dema | A414P.3 | Kleen-Rite but I am hoping someone could help me confirm.

I attached a couple of pictures to help with the solenoid I am trying to identify.

That would be the correct valve, 24 volt AC.
Is the valve leaking? If it is take the bonnet off and remove the disc inside and check for any debris.

Yes - the valve is leaking. I was thinking of replacing it. Will try your suggestion first to see if debris exists.

Thats your bypass solenoid. Check for debris first like Randy said. Shut the ball valve off under the tank for that bay before you do. If you clean it and it's still leaking you can just buy a repair kit. No need to change the entire solenoid.

Thats your bypass solenoid. Check for debris first like Randy said. Shut the ball valve off under the tank for that bay before you do. If you clean it and it's still leaking you can just buy a repair kit. No need to change the entire solenoid.

I've never had much luck with the repair kit. I've that they get corroded on the inside. Now I just replace the valve.

Really? How old are were they for the brass to corrode that badly? I dont think ive ever had a problem with a repair kit on a brass solenoid. Everyone has their own experiences though. Thats just mine. Change the solenoid whole is probably easier for someone that is not as hands on.

I'd have to say those are probably 15 years old. Right where the disc rides inside the valve body a ridge of corrosion stops the disc from moving down, then the valve leaks. I've tried honing out the valve, got nice and smooth but that didn't work. I found a bunch of new 0414P valves on Ebay, I got pretty sweet deal on them.

I got you. Makes sense. Haven’t ran across that issue yet but I’m sure I will. It’s always nice to find a good deal though.
