Combo Vac Pricing

Hi All,
I am about to open our IBA. I have 2 Combo Vacs. 1 is a Carpet Wizard and 1 is a Freshin Up. They come preset at $1.00 for 4 minutes of vacuum on both machines. $1.00 for 40 Seconds of Air Freshener and $2.00 for 4 minutes of Carpet Cleaning.

Are these standard pricing ? I have seen $1.00 for 3 minutes of Vacuum and $2.00 for 5 minutes. There are no other machines around that do the Carpet or Fragrance so I have no idea whats fair pricing.

Any input would be great.

Thanks,
Jon

My vacs are at $1.00 for 5 Minutes 20 seconds - 80 seconds per quarter. I want to give people plenty of time for $1.00 not looking to make them drop more $. Shampoo is $3.00 for 5 minutes. Fragrance $1.00 for 1 minute.

Earl, I'm glad to see someone else finally giving plenty of time for fragrance. I've seen so many times where the unit set at the factory 40 secondsfor $1 would **** off the customer because by the time they got the gun down and got their door open and found the pushbutton on the handle the time was out. It bugged me to see someone look ****ed off and just drop the gun on the ground when the time ran out. I watched for a long time and made sure that at least half the customers were hanging up the gun with the timer still running (Timer is at 1:10 for that). The fragrance liquid is too cheap to try and squeeze more money out of people.

I set the shampooer much longer than usual - 4 minutes for $1. I feel they'll spend just as much money vacuuming out all that foam as they would using one short shampoo cycle and one vacuum. For what it's worth, our combo units (Doyle Fresh Impressions combo vacs with shampoo, spot remover and three fragrances) have paid for themselves over again once a year.

Years ago I moved my shampoo price to 1.00/2 minutes. I thik it increased overall usage. My theory is people are more inclined to hit a couple of spots for the low price.
