Compressor Pressure Switch leaking air

Well I should have listened to my original instincts. Had a 3/4" male/female in my cart, but had second thoughts and bought the male/male. Turns out what I had was male/female with an adapter. Almost bought both so I could return one, but o well. Luckily I was able to take the removable parts out of the new CV and put them in the old one and now the air leak is gone. Seems to be working the same as the old CV, except that the holes in the bottom of the CV aren't 100% open when air is filling the tank. The part that blocks the air from going back up out of the tank is a little thicker, so when the air is pushing it down, it only leave about 1/2-3/4 of the holes exposed for the air to fill the tank. Hope that makes sense. Any reason for me to be worried about that, or should it be fine?

There's usually a second popoff valve in the plumbing from the compressor to the tank in case that check valve fails closed. As long as that isn't blowing off it should be okay. Does it sound like it did before or do you hear any signs of it struggling or getting hotter than it used to?

It seemed to sound the same and fill at a similar rate, so hopefully it's all good. I went ahead and ordered a spare CV and Pressure switch just to have on hand.
