I just received my free credit card reader for my iPhone from SQUARE (getsquare.com) 2.75% flat fee, no monthly charges. I tested it with a $1 charge. Scanned the first try. Customer approves charge by signing the screen with their fingernail. Funds transferred to my bank and I receive an email confirmation.

I am waiting for my SS cc readers from crytopay but thought this would be a good addition to allow cc fleet sales for IBA or accept cc when ACW rejects.

I have seen people everywhere with the iphone readers, just amazing the technology. You will really like the cryptopay, works flawlessly so far on 3rd or 4th month. A very high percentage are using it, and only one complaint, some dill weed went over on some weird card, and said his company then charged him a $35 fee. I said he probably shouldn't have used it if he only had $2 left on his bank account. Never heard back.

I use my square app whenever I am off site selling coupons and such. Customers love it and hate it because they can no longer say, all I have is my card! Problem solved.

Not to hijack the thread, but it sounds like Cryptopay is working well for you so far Whale. What timers are you using and are you counting up or counting down? Thanks!

I would like to hear more about the cryptopay as well. I had not heard of it and then went to the web site after seeing this and that looks pretty good. I take it the transactions get consolidated somehow at their site....or not....do they charge anything for customers getting to their web site for the receipts (I would guess not but just inquiring). Once you have their equipment do they have any other associated charges at all. THis really sounds like one of the easiest ways to implement credit cards for various components of an existing wash with no cables etc. I am very interested in ths of course if I put in all vacs, bays vending i would need 20 of the readers....22 if I switched my Unitec readers over to this .... ouch but still attractive with the transaction consolidation component of it....one other questions....when the transactions clear thru the merchant processor can you distinguish between vacuum, self serve bay, and vending charges?
