Crypto Tap Plus and Dixmor LED7 assistance

Greetings everyone. Recently installed Crypto Tap Plus and Dixmor LED7 at 4 wash bays. I am having a very difficult time programming the two to work in conjunction with each other. I have gone over all the instructions, but keep coming up short. The Crypto Tap will process payment, but the wash will not turn on. The fix is probably something simple, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone offer up some quick tips on programming? Thank you and much appreciated.

I installed a crypto pay a couple of months ago and remember reading that when you add a tap to the card swipe you have to call them to configure the system for the tap/

Standard taps have to be mated to the swipers by cryptopay tech support, but I think you said you have the tap Plus. I've never installed one so someone hopefully can verify.

Here's the LED 7 instructions: https://www.dixmor.com/TIMER PDF/LED7 V7.33.pdf

Count down would be connected to 2 on the LED7 and pules it just like a coin acceptor, count up is connected to 6 and 9 and is closed to start making the timer run.

Once you verify the wiring and what you desire, you have to login and configure properly on the control panel.

Hope this helps

You do not need them to pair them now. You just tap a card and then swipe the same card. It works most of the time for us but for some reason a few had to be paired by tech support.

I assume you're talking about the standard tap and not the Crypto Tap Plus, since that is what you have installed at your wash and what you quoted in @Greg Pack post. If that is the case, are you saying the customer would have to tap their card and then swipe it to get it to work? What if they were trying to use their mobile phone as payment? Once again, assuming all of this is the case, that would be all the more reason to pair them together.

Crypto Tap Plus does not have to be paired with a swiper to work, however, if I was using it and a swiper on a meter or vac, I would have them paired together. Just my .02

I'm talking about pairing the standard Cryptotap with a swiper for the first time. The Cryptotap can't be used by itself and needs a swiper to communicate with the coordinator. After the initial pairing, the customer only needs to either swipe or tap. At the time when we bought the Cryptotap units, the Plus units could not be paired with a swiper so we didn't go with them. Now that you can pair them I would for sure go with the tap because of the remote stop button and the more compact size.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I never knew you could pair the 2 like that. Learn something new everyday.

We installed the Tap Plus, no special wiring and it did not matter if we were count up or down, real easy. At a different location with have a swiper paired with a regular tap. In both cases we talked with CryptoPay tech support who had to do something simple on there end to enable the tap to work. Otherwise it was a quick install on the bays and the vacs. For the vacs we just use the Tap Plus in count down mode without the button, in the bays we use it in count up mode with the button.
