I just discovered a new fee on my first data bill. Its called "cardpoint platform fee" for $34.95. I have no idea what it is, but will be calling them in the morning to find out why they decided to add it to my bill. Anyone else have any information on this?

I asked about it and here is what I was told "Card Connect decided they wanted to bundle all monthly fees together. Most accounts have a customer service fee, Trans Armor fee & PCI fee so they decided to bundle them all together." My rep requested for it to be removed. I used not not check my statements either, but after randomly checking a few months ago and finding that my fees had gone up and random fees added, I now d/l them every month and check. They will sneak in any fee they can if you let them.

What section of the bill? Just looked at my latest statement which is thru Associated Bank. Did not see this but there are 6 pages of fees.

Mine was towards the end listed under the "other" section of fees. It is a First Data fee, so maybe that is why you don't see it?

My fees seem to come out to around 6.5% if you add in this new fee. I'm paying a .04 auth fee and .1 basis points.

Called my first data rep today and got this new fee removed. I was told this fee was not suppose to go on cryptopay accounts. It was suppose to consolidate some of their other fees. I explained to them that's nice and all but it was 3 times what my old fees were. They are going to issue a credit for the charges. Just love how they can change your account without any input from the customer.
