Cryptopay overcharge

Had a lady call and say she got the $6 wash but was charged $15. Sure enough I verified the $15 charge and went back and looked on the camera and she got the $6 wash. This is a Wash Select II with cryptopay. Anyone had this problem or know what could have caused it?

I've had several say that they were charged $10 for a lesser wash, but it was always a pending transaction or notification. 2 days ago I have a customer claim they had been charged $10 four times for an $8 wash. I explained the pre-authorization but she said $10 was being debited out of her account. She was going to check her actual account and get back to me, but I've heard nothing yet. I think it was going to be charged correctly

I get calls about the $10 pre-auth charge but this was a $15 charge that actually went through. I'm going to swipe my card and get the $6 wash and see what happens.

Talked to cryptopay and they said they have never seen someone get overcharged but they did verify she was charged $15. I replaced the swiper and put dielectric grease on the ribbon cable. Going to cross my fingers and hope it was a one time event.

What is your max charge? Did they forget to push the stop button?

It was on my IBA. On a Wash Select II. Price points are $6,$8,$10 & $15.

Shouldn't be any higher pre authorized amount with IBA like in a count up bay.
I did have a similar situation when a customer swiped the card twice and my pay station stacked another wash while the sign said please pull forward.
I had to adjust a setting to increase time between transaction's on the IBA to correct this issue from happening in the future.
Keep in mind this was not cryptopay and it was on a acw.
