Today we noticed that one of our swipers would verify the card, start the bay and then immediately shut the bay down. The LED6 stated that it charged the minimum amount on the card. If it matters or not we are currently count down. Also with the bay off the button light was not illuminated until it started the bay and then instead of flashing it was solid green. (until it shut down) We swapped out the swiper and the bay works fine now. Is the problem a bad button or is there something else wrong with the swiper?

Not sure if it is necessary ... but we have been using a temperature regulated lab grade grounded soldering station for about 15 years now. Just in case a PCB requires it over some of the cheaper soldering guns. Randy probably know a lot more about that possible need than me.
