Great link, Bill. This reminded me of all the times that a child in our laundromat has called 911 from our payphone not understanding the implications. The first time it happened out of probably at least 10 other times over the years, the 911 operator had the presence of mind to instruct me to explain very carefully & in a loving way so the the child would not become too fearful from lack of understanding. I followed her advice ever since & I have never regretted it & that 911 recording is a perfect affirmation of the quality of her reasoning. I think the little girl had something called "extra grace" that allowed to rise to the situation!
