I’m looking at adding a new touchless automatic to my existing car wash. I currently narrowed my choices to the iq 2.0 and the oasis xp. Just wanting to see what everyone’s thoughts were on these units? Haven’t seen a lot of talk on the iq 2.0.

I installed an Oasis XP and think it's a great machine, very few moving parts, fast and gives a really good wash. I have never seen an iq2. 0 in the flesh so cannot really say how good or bad it is. But for what it's worth, the XP is a great machine

Hey dirks99, I was wondering which you chose, why you chose it, and how you like it. I am thinking about a new IBA and those are my two choices. I own 2 D&S machines and their support is poor at best but the machines are pretty simple. Easy repairs and finding parts local is important to me. I also need a fast wash that produces a clean car. I am sure all that is impossible with what I want to spend. I almost forgot to mention that I like the light shows on the new machines.

I don’t believe the D&S has any sizing capabilities - length or width. Probably can get away with that on the sides(width) if you have narrow degree oscillating nozzles, but I don’t think you can get any consistent cleaning on the backs of cars - especially if they are mid sized or shorter when that machine travels all the way to the end on a fixed set of rails on every to car. Car length sizing and adjusting is important for clean backs.

There is so much great technology available! Why would anyone buy a new IBA that doesn't size the car?!?

The iq sizes cars length wise. I think the confusion here is the ds5000 which does not size cars, but that machine isn't what was inquired about.
