Ok I was at my newest wash today and when I walk in the door every single tank soap and rinse tanks were overflowing. Couple questions about this. 1. Why did they take a elbow out of
Every bung in the back and tie them all together and they absolutely go nowhere but the other tanks they did drill a small hole in top of each elbow when it came out. Can anybody explain what the use for that is never seen it before and basically if a hydrominer or check valve goes bad it just overflows every tank instead of one? And second looking at plumbing on this thing they they tied the cold and the hot together with a swing check to keep the cold from backing into
The hot which is something else I've never saw and can't understand what on earth would be the reason for this. I have my sawzall ready if somebody can't explain this.

You will find a lot of things that don't make sense in this so called industry. There's a whole lot of people that sort of know what they are doing. I like the Sawzallapproach.

I have to agree on the sawzall approach! I have found that I like my design's/retrofits a lot better than the original manufacture's design...Even one that was labeled "Cadillac" back in the day! I often wonder what the hell they were thinking!

I have a D&S system. I think someone messed yours up. Elbows come out of the back of each tank near the top and point down. They each go into a single line that goes to a hose near the floor drain. If any tank overflows it goes out that way. I am guessing some genius decided to try and save any overflow by letting it go to another tank unless they all got as high as the top of the elbow where it could overflow thru the hole. Who cares if Soap, wax etc. gets in the rinse water:(
