Danfoss drive no power

DJGall

Dirty Dawg
Has anyone ever experienced their danfoss drives losing power in cold weather?? This happened to me once last winter, and I can't remember what I did to fix. Basically, my drive motor and oscillator motor vfd's won't power up in cold cold weather.

Got this fixed this morning. I called JCC and they said "use a hair blow dryer" to blow warm air onto the Danfoss VFD's. Since I'm balding, I don't own a hair dryer, so I went to Walgreen's and bought one. Within 5 minutes of applying warm air to the drives, they both "turned themselves on" and started operating.

I had several days of sub 20F weather....apparently, the VFD's do not like cold weather. I may add a resistance heater inside my panel box on the Gantry to add some heat.

thanks!!
