I bought one a couple of years ago this July. Worked great until the 1 year warranty expired. The switches are problematic and frequently the vacuum does not start. Customer service won't sell parts for field replacement. $150 to replace the hose w/switches, but if it's a poor design, what's the point. I think if I can find switches at Radio Shack and rewire the handle, we'll be back in business.
In the meantime, I purchased a Durmaid 1600 hot water extractor and having been using that for almost a year. Obviously, you're going to leave more water behind and requires longer time to dry, but it's fired up every time and actually does a better job on deep dirt.
