So sad that a lot of them have to close down, but what could be the cause of this?

Liberals running the city into the ground for the last 40 years.

Many of the pictured facilities are last ditch efforts to generate cash in the form of "hand car wash" which IMO are in no way considered professional carwashes. IMO more than half of the pictures were never professional carwashes, but for the cost of a painted sign, were abondoned other-purpose buildings. Mark

I think it is worthy to note the photos that David took & shared were taken by someone who is actually located in the Detroit Metro Area & who was probably motivated by a deep concern for the systemic issues that contribute in a too overwhelming & negative of a way.
