difference btn Goldline and acw 4 and 5?

I have a Goldline but do not know much about the acw 4 and 5. I bought a new auto yesterday and now need an acw. What exactly is the difference?
Thanks

There are numerous differences, but not much in functionality. The biggest difference that I see is that you can't have a receipt printer on a 4 or 5. Keep in mind that I have never owned a Gold-Line, these are just my observations.

I'm pretty sure we are limited to dial-up for CC processing on the 4 and 5. I'm not sure if the GL has other options in that regard.

The Goldline doesn't come with any other option besides dial-up for credit card processing unless you have a D.A.N. It processes very fast with dial-up though, only takes about 10 seconds after the "Please wait while your card is being processed" finishes.

There are at least a couple aftermarket CC options for the Goldline, and one by CryptoPay coming.

The receipt printer is a pretty big deal it seems. Do a lot of people take cards that can't print receipts? I use a lot of paper so I guess we print a big percentage.

We use a lot of paper too, but I think that's mainly because people think they have to press the receipt button to start the wash. I've seen many cash customers press the button for the receipt and just wad it up and drop it out the window.

The dan system works with the acw 4 & 5 and the goldline seems to use the exact same cc computer.... well at least it's a 386. Which the acw5 uses to process cc transactions. http://hamiltonmfg.com/products/05-0053

I wouldn't think there would be any speed difference? But I don't have a goldline. :)
