Thinking of trying out the Diskin air shamee in one of my SS bays before I go all in.. anyone have posative thoughts on this ? Good feedback.. I have heard up to 19% of dial time could this be true? Also - what is the best boom recommendation for an Attic mount.. I am looking to drop these down from the deiling - I have recieved the mosmatic 60.311 vs the Diskin Boom.. any comments on either?

I think the Mosmatic booms were designed with to have the elbow facing in down position. You'd have to check the instruction manual but that is the way it was "Supposed" to be done when I installed mine long, long ago. I installed them with the elbow facing up and haven't had any issue yet.
I've had the Diskin boom for 2+ years with no issues. The Mosmatic booms are definitely heavy duty and better engineered but the customers don't care.

It sounds like some have cherry picked some parts of their Air Shammee.
I have read on this forum that Diskin's "only one needed" three phase motor has some advantages??? It would be nice to see a bit more long term pro & con on that specific option of motor arrangement now that hopefully enough time has passed since that motor appeared on the scene.
Just curious to know ... if Diskin's 3 phase motor itself is available from anyone besides directly from Diskin?
Maybe this is something that should be PM'd .... not sure.

I have the three phase for a few years now. No issues. Got Diskin Boom from KR. Later ordered the 90 degree elbow because hose was breaking where it attached to boom and bent. Since then no issues.
Could you use a Fernco Elbow for the 90 degree bend?

That could turn out to be a good idea. If we use your approach vs the Mosmatic 90° ... we will use much stronger all stainless steel T clamps.

Does this single motor by itself ... really have 50% more power over the blow dry systems using two of the widely used Domel Motors?
On its specs ... it appears like the noise-decibel level is also a factor.

I do't know how that will hold up being yanked on in all sorts of temperatures.

I have a similar concern as Earl but mainly ... my question would be: Would the rubber elbow buckle & kink the same or maybe worse than the 2" vacuum style hose? Rudy ... can you hurry up & be our guinea pig as long as you suggested it?
A solution for kinking would be a thin stainless tight fitting 90° internal insert along with the stronger SS T clamps that I previously linked on the rubber part. We would have to get lucky on finding a low cost stainless insert that size though ... easier said than done! Any muffler SS elbow fittings-fabricator experts on the forum?

By the time you get done with all the experimentation and Fab you probably saved little over just buying the elbow from KR.

I might go with the better 100% stainless marine stronger T clamps that I linked too to make the elbows even more fail safe. Thanks for putting our minds at ease ... I was just getting ready to order the much more expensive SS elbows from KR.

What did you use as a nipple that the hose would need to be attached to? The exact size Stainless Steel 2inch-ish nipples cost some too?

I just has Diskin install his Air Shammee II in all 6 bays. I had a couple small problems and Troy came all the way down from ILL to GA to correct. I can't say enough good things about the product, Troy Diskin and his crew. They have been in exactly one week and were getting constant use on the weekend. I have the single motor mounted in the attic.
