I have been having issues with my Dixmor Ultimate Timers missing pulses, frustrating customers and my self. The issue is not with the coin acceptors, as I have slowed the pulses down and have tried different coin acceptors (IDXMA800 coin acceptor and a SecureCoin (Magikist in Canada) and at different locations. I have spoke with other operators who use the Dixmor Timers and they also have experienced the same issue. The problem occurs on a random basis and not consistently. Any help would be appreciated.

What software version are you running? Have you talked to Nick over at Dixmor? He is a guru with these ultimate timers.

The last time I spoke to Dixmor, I was told that nothing could be done. I will specifically contact Nick to explain my issue and see if it can be resolved.

I just spoke to Nick at Dixmor, he is fully aware of the problem, however as they indicated to me before, they do not have a solution. This is somewhat puzzling, it frustrates many customers !!?? I think this is a major issue and probably should be addressed by Dixmor?

I have many Dixmor LED-7 timers. I get incorrect credits if I insert a token or dollar (4 credits) just as the time hits 0:00. It may be 1, 2, or 3 credits, nothing consistent. 0:01 or just after the time runs out, they credit fine.

The Ultimate timer went out of production about 3 years ago. I had an intermittent problem when I used the MA-800 coin acceptors. I replaced them with the Slugbuster II and haven?t had a problem since. How long have you had this problem? Have you Ohm?d out the wire from the coin acceptor to pin 5 on the timer?

I've had problems with three of my Ultimate timers missing the first quarter intermittently. When it happens, the display shows the version number (2.71 I think) and then goes back to the greeting. It won't happen again for several weeks for me. I'm guessing it doesn't happen more than one time in 3 or 4 hundred. I've talked to Morris and Nick about it, but no answer.
I have all of these programmed to turn on for one quarter less than they are advertised for. The scrolling message asks for $2.00, but the timer will turn on at $1.75. I have it programmed to delay the start by a second after the last quarter drops, so most people don't even notice that it would turn on for less than advertised.
With them programmed this way, all the customer loses is a quarter's worth of time, not a complete wash cycle when it doesn't turn on for them. It doesn't fix the problem, but it keeps the customer from feeling cheated.
Let me know if anyone finds the answer.
