I used to have metal
doors, with mechanical operators in dry areas. Like Waxman said, lot's of parts and things to do to keep things working. Chains, sprockets, bearings....etc.
The ONLY thing I do with my Wyndstar
doors, is take the hood down once a year (takes 2 minutes).....I grease the bearings...and then replace the hood.
I also added electric heat tapes to the backsides of the vertical guides. I only need to plug them in on killer days when it's below about 25F.
The amount of time I spend (now) on
doors has gone from an 8 to a zero.
