OK so I have a laserwash 4000 and with it we have stand alone laser dri from pdq, anyways one of the bearings has gone which made the fan "loose" and needless to day our dryer is down, my problem is I can't get the bearings off of the little axle, the belt is off there was a bolt in the end of the axle, that is off, and on the backside of the bearing it has those 2 little locking screws, those are out too but this thing won't budge, I can't replace the bearing if I cart get the darn thing off! Am I missing something obvious, anyone have any ideas?

Well you have two options. Try using a puller on the bearing, or cut the bearing off. Ran into this many times. It happens cause the bearing and shaft are machined very tightly.

I had to repair a dryer fan this summer and ran into similar problems. When I took the whole assembly to a electric motor rebuilder after I could not get the motor seperated from fan they did the following. 1. They sprayed the connections with a product called aero koil penetrating oil. They said it was much better than PB blaster at loosening tight fittings. After letting it sit for a while they applied heat to the outside surface while using a bearing puller and they got it apart. They do this everyday and it seems to be the best method they have found.
