I am having a problem with our 5000. when you enter and hit the entrance pad the treadle opens but the green entrance light stays on. The wash will not start. exit light comes on. ordered new entrance pad and that did not work. on input not reading #1 prox switch. could that do this?

Check hydraulic oil first. If it is low that is what you get, unit has low oil shut off.

it works on manual override, it has to be something else. If its not reading the prox, input #1 will this happen?

ok, so I figured out the problem. the prox switch that reads the wheel was bad. therefore for other DS 5000 owners if the input is not reading the #1 input the wash will not activate when hitting the entrance pad. another learning experience for me after 14 years.
