Dual Pressure in my bays

I have recently made two of my bays Super bays and was wondering if anyone knows how to make a weap gun a dual pressure gun. I am at 1400 psi when the trigger is pulled and would like to be around 800psi at rest. All info will be appreciated.

I usually get clobbered when I suggest the Cat or KleenRite variable pressure gun. It is called their "dump gun" It might be what you are interested in. It is pretty minor to keep the plunger of the trigger working properly by spraying a little WD40 & working it in on the plunger surface within a few seconds.

We notice customers concerned about pressure because of a new paint job or plastic vinyl whatever ... letting up on the trigger as needed.

It could be because it's not a "variable pressure gun." It's a gun made specifically for pressure washers where it literally dumps (hence the actual name, dump gun) all the pressure and flow via a hollow tube around the central lance.

The way a weep gun works is with a small flow path in the seat that would otherwise be closed off to flow when the trigger is released. It wouldn't be an exact science, but you could remove the seat and either enlarge the gap or add another. I know the latter is easily doable - I was helping someone finish up his wash to get it open for Saturday morning, and as we were testing things late Friday night we noticed the weep guns weren't weeping. It took me around 30 minutes to open up the guns, remove the seats and drill the gaps into them that were missing to make them weep guns.

Where you say "dual" kind of sounds like just 2 different pressures you are after. Our friend, Mep001 is accurate on his whatever preference of gun for making his gun weep properly.

We have tried similar guns that he describes. We have preferred a multi-purpose different gun for over 25 years ... that as a person in the bay lessens his or her grip on the trigger the other person ... can watch the gauge in the pump room go from 1500 psi gradually down to whatever less pressure based on how much the gun is squeezed. It weeps without any alteration unless the whole end part of the gun is completely already froze up. That would be more than just the tiny nozzle portion of the gun.

From our first hand experience, this specific gun when you release the trigger it does not dump the water on the customer's feet. A serious inconvenience like that may be true of a different dump gun though. Anybody else use this specific gun besides us?

Where you say "dual" kind of sounds like just 2 different pressures you are after.

You're just playing off semantics. A person can control the pressure at the bay with almost any trigger gun. The only difference between using a dump gun and a weep gun for this purpose is the pressure at the pump (and the waste of water from dumping the excess flow on the bay floor).
