The motor test thing is well-known to be bogus. They used to have the demos set up at Home Depots, and it simply changes the way the amperage is read, but doesn't affect your power meter, which is where it really matters.
the utility companys charge for Watts not amps used. This divise only saves on some amps but not on the watts being used. From the Youtube comments I've been seeing.... it's a scam. the savings are tiny.
