Just kicking around a few ideas here to move cars through faster; on those days we're stacked 4 deep all day, we lose 10-15 cars who drive off.

What if I doubled the water volume on the spot free rinse cycle and put up big banners promoting that: Our new spot free rinse setup guarantees no spots and thus dryers have been eliminated to speed you on your way more quickly.

In my rural location this would have the added benefit of drastically reducing the number of rednecks in pickups who let the dryers remove their beer cans, hay, bark, Skoal tins, wire, etc.

Thoughts?

Before making such a move, I'd ask the customers their thoughts about it. I can't see guaranteeing no spots because you can't control whether they go down a dusty road or something after leaving your wash. There's also the perception issue - leaving with a wet car may not have the same value as leaving with a dry car.

If you have room you could move the dryer away from the auto bay so one could be drying while another is loading.

That big open field next to your wash could be trouble. I wouldnt think the added RO water would accomplish your goal. Decrease the dryer time dramatically. Make sure you are using a good acid on your HP rinse. I like using LoPH conditioners as a trifoam also. This helps get a dryer car. A good beading agent also goes a long way. Do you offer the dryer on all washes?
