For the last 3 days, my credit card system has been authorizing correctly but is only capturing my minimum startup amount ($1.50) regardless of the length of the wash.

I have not messed with the settings at all, nothing has changed and the system is working fine otherwise.

Has anyone run into an issue like this?

I just switched my timers to count up on Thursday afternoon. I checked the batch late last night and saw that all 10 transactions were for my min $3.50. I assumed that I had programmed something wrong. I have no transactions for today ( 1-2).

did you swipe your own card and let it run then check you account? I'm going to do that but will not be back until I am done plowing in 3-4 hours.

I'm going to do the exact same thing...I have been in touch with Amanda from Bluepay and she thinks it is an issue with the equipment. I find that hard to believe if we are both having the same issue?

If all your issues are occurring since the 29th, then I would assume that this is something that is going on with Bluepay...I'm going to send her over an e-mail and refer her to this post.

Please let me know what you find!

Please let me know...keep this post updated so that we can help Bluepay get to the bottom of this issue if that is what it appears to be!

Just watched a video of a guy washing yesterday for ten minutes, he was billed 2.00.

Last time I had a capture exceeding 2.00 was 12/29 at 14:30

Just used my personal card. Terminal said charge would be 3.50. Still waiting for it to clear........

I am going to have a troubleshooting session with a bluepay tech at 3 E.T. this afternoon.

cfcw - please let us know what the transaction clears for...I take it that your minimum startup is $2 correct?

There should be a software tag on the Eeprom chips, but they aren't very accessible. I will update once I have the meeting with the bluepay tech!

Just got my CC post

swipe one should have been for 2.00 I then killed the meter

second swipe should have been for 3.50, for a total of 5.50

Posted amount was 4.00 total- each swipe was credited 2.00

So instead of total charge of minimum start up , it appears to be charging minimum start up for each swipe you make.

Do you use the count up method? This is kind of what I was assuming was happening! What amount was charged to your card? I want to know whether our customers are getting a helluva deal or if our money is out floating in cyberspace!

Yes, count up

charge amount was 4.00 should have been 5.50 according to terminal

And yes, the money is floating around in cyberspace

Last capture that wasn't in multiples of 2.00 (my startup price) was 12/27

I have taken my CC system O.O.S.- The only alternative is to run a special. I could put this on my readerboard: "New Year Special-all credit card washes-only two dollars!"

Eric, Soapy? you guys finding the same thing?

Also, anyone with Count Down having the same issue?

Do you have anything you want me to ask the bluepay tech when I talk to him? I don't think that this is a mechanical thing at all...I think that this is something to do with their processing or the way in which our units are talking with their software...I don't know, this is definitely getting old...

My charges are only at my minimum starting on 12/28. At that time I was count down and changed to count up on the afternoon of 12/31. So the problem seems to exist for all systems.

I have software running both version 1.18 and 2.05. If you look at the system checks it will read "system check R 2.05" the numbers are your software version.

I just sent Amanda @ bluepay an email at john's request.

BTW: John thank you for running with this.

I use the countdown method with my etowah valley setups. I have the info to access bluepay at home so it will be while before I can check to see what mine is doing.

I talked with the bluepay tech...he is fairly baffled as to what is going on, but said that it may have something to with any uploads that may have been done to their system to ensure compliance with all the new cc regulations...if anyone wants to talk more in depth about it, DM me and I will give you a call.

Hopefully there will be a resolution to this issue on Monday...best guess...

I just looked at my bluepay account. Mine is also charging the minimum. Thanks Bubbles for looking into this.

My blue pay is also only charging in increments of my initial start up price. It is on transactions after the 27th of december. I do have a couple of charges at double my minimum start up price of $2.50. I have some charges that total $5 whish should not happen on my countdown setup as each additional swipe is $1. Looks like blue pay is the problem not etowah valley. With the fees we have to pay them they should get this fixed and reimburse us handsomly.
