Hey everyone, I have noticed the last few days that my system checks on my Etowah Valley credit card timers have been very random again. I ran my personal credit card this afternoon while washing my truck, and I do not see it posted on my transactions for today yet. I am wandering if Blue-Pay is having problems again. Is anyone else having problems? This will be the last straw with Blue-Pay if they are having problems again! I am going to email Blue-Pay and see if they have any transaction for my credit card today. I would suggest that everyone check out their statements and make some test swipes to verify.

Thanks,
Lighthouse.

Just what I wanted to hear. Finally a sunny day and my cc might be jacked up. Let me know what you come up with. I will log in and check my system a little later this morning. Please post the Bluepay response if possible.

From Amanda:

I will check into it, however, please be advised that the problems with your system
running up large transactions had nothing to do with us. We only process data that
we receive. In other words, we process the dollar amounts the systems send us.
It may have been convenient to blame Bluepay, however, the facts prove otherwise.

WE are a $138 million dollar company who process millions of
transactions daily. Our system is incapable of making up transaction dollar amounts.

That said, I will look online and get back to you - AJL

And also:

Jeff, you will have to get with Etowah Valley and have them answer your questions
concerning your terminal.

Our online reporting system reports actual transaction data along with the systems
check that Etowah Valley sends to us; one per day for each bay; these are supposed
to be sent to us in the middle of the night.

There is nothing unusual going on at our end. - AJL

Look to see a light is blinking on the timer. That indicates a modem stuck trying to dial out. It will make posting transactions impossi ble. Turn off power to each bay time so it can reboot. Takes care of 90% of the problems. In extreme cases unplug each timer and then seperate and replug in each circuit board.

I've been keeping an eye on my transactions since your post. So far Everything seems to be running perfect. In fact it has been an unusually busy week here with all of the pollen we have had.
What version are the chips in your system? I have had no problems since in over a year with version 2.54, but I know there have been some revisions since then.

I have rev 2.05, but I was also told...by Blue-Pay, not Etowah Valley, that I am actually a couple of revisions old. It sure would be nice if Jim would notifiy us or send us the software updates when they are available. He told me that updates were free, and I would like to always make sure I have the latest updates and features.

It seems that the timers were being good today. I will keep an eye on them the next couple of days. I did do power cycles on all of them on Tuesday, so maybe that will clear them up.
