Who is your favorite motivational speaker and, if you care to say, why?

Mine are Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle and Michael Bernard Beckwith.

Why? Because they inspire me to be my best I suppose. I somehow realte to them and can feel what they say.

And because I used to be a hippie.:p

I have only heard of dyer. I have his pbs special on my DVR. He's OK , most of these speakers end up just telling stories. I liked Mark Victor Hanson who spoke at ICA show about 10Yrs ago(Chicken soup for soul). I really liked the

Tom Peters admitted that he faked a lot of the Excellence because he ran out of time with the publishing deadline. I heard him about 5 years ago, not bad. Go to our library and read some of Mike McKinley and Eileen McDargh among other there, under Experts.

Isn't 'just telling stories' exactly what Jesus did?

I have been listening to an audio book called The Management Myth, where he tears apart the BS of consultants, Drucker, Peters and others. He also being one. Interesting.
