What are things people look for when looking into buying a car wash?
I know location, population, how many bays, condition, ect but what are the things new operators don't know what to look for?
How can you tell if a location will be profitable?

Competition, both current and future is a huge factor.

Traffic count, future road construction plans, current ease of ingress/egress, demographics (Wealthy neighborhoods vs working class), homes vs apartments in the area. hate to mention racial profile but there are truths about such things.

Contact the manufacturer of every single piece of equipment. Find out if it's still supported. It's real age. Is there a reputable tech around?

Bay size is one thing I'd watch out for. It wasn't fun finding out I bought a car wash that can't fit modern car wash equipment in it :)

Yep. 12' 9" wide auto bays that Super Wash built are just about worthless.
