This is my answer to yet another carwash builder with free vacs. These and all our vacs now accept tokens which we give to our customers when they purchase the top wash package in our 2-bay auto. With the token they get 6 mins of vac time and/or shampoo/fragrance. Our standard time if they paid is $1 for 4 mins. Or they can get a free bag of ice in our ice machine. The beauty of our set up is they can vacuum whenever they choose, most of the time people want to wash and dont have time to vacuum. They can come back and use our vacs or get ice anytime they choose. If they want more vac time than 6 minutes, they pay for more. I think totally eliminating a perfectly good profit center in totally free vacuums is not good business. Our way, they have an incentive to buy the top wash package and they can also vacuum without washing when they either come back when they have more time to or they just want to vacuum, but pay for it. More vending and maybe an air machine to come...

How are you giving them the free token with the top wash?

The attendant hands a token to them. I wanted to add an exterior seperate token hopper that paid out when the top wash is selected, but I'm told the ACW4 wont do that.

I would think that in the ACWs that have the four relays to pick the wash, you could link to that relay and have it dispense.

BTW, I happen to have a hopper that will do the quarter/.984 token.
