Hello,
I stumbled onto this forum via internet search and hopefully someone can help me out because I’m stuck.

sudden onset: all three self serve bays at my wash stopped pulling water from the soap tank and now are only pulling from the fresh water tank.

soap solenoids are magnetized when activated but system
Only pulls from fresh water tank.

No new plumbing or parts. Sudden onset affecting all three bays.

screens and filters are clean.

I removed and inspected soap solenoids but to no avail.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ACW

I would say the valve is stuck even if the solenoid is energized. In my experience the valve itself fails 3x to a coil. If not that possibly a stuck check valve in the closed position.

You mentioned rinse but is it hot water gravity fed for the soap and wax, then cold city water for rinse through a solenoid valve? If so then it sounds like it's not drawing soap because there's not enough suction on the soap feed lines. I bet your ball valves on the bottom of the water tank are open too much. If they are open too much then it just gravity feeds the pump hot water when on soap or wax. If the pumps don't quite have enough water then it will try to pull soap from it's tank. (Or wax from it's tank depending on selection) Try slowly closing the ball valve on each bay while on the soap selection with trigger pulled until the pump starts chattering and then open enough to stop the chattering. They should draw soap now.

Good morning! We did find the problem but not until after we replaced a rotary switch (three times because I only had used ones on hand), a hydrominder, multiple solenoids, cleaned a manifold, and a few other misc tasks that were both educational and not a whole lot of fun lol.

conclusion: ball valves to weep system were preventing the siphoning of soap and wax from the tanks. When I closed the valve I had soap and wax again. I am almost certain I heard angels singing too but that could have just been my imagination. Lol

thank you all so much for your help. I hope one day I can be there to return the favor.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Where in your system is the weep tee'd in? I'm glad you have soap and wax but now you don't have any weep.

This doesn't make sense to me. Are you using a Dixmor Weepmizer? Where is your weep system connected to the system?
