I have a boom and was using 15' straight 3/8" hoses. But they didn't reach the longer vehicles, and the cusomers were yanking on the hoses. So, I bought longer straight hoses to reach longer vehicles, but then they were dragging on the ground (tripping hazard). A few years ago, I switched to the 25' coil hoses 3/8" to prevent the boom from being pulled out of the wall. Overall, I prefer the coil hoses and so do my customers. PROS: Lightweight, less hose slap, longer reach. CONS: The quality of my thick foamy
soap tanked and I spent a lot of time adjusting the liquid & air to compensate for the coil hosing. I suspect the air bubbles were preventing the liquid from getting through the coil design. Every day, I have to re-coil the hoses - like the old telephone cord. Overall, customers like them better than the old 15' straight hoses. I like the look, function and they don't drag on the ground!
