Ran out of HP soap and shipment not due to arrive until Friday. Wondering if anyone has used foam brush soap in their HP soap line? I would think it is fine but thought I would ask if any down side from firsthand experience. Thx.

I think Randy uses HP Soap for Foam Brush. I've almost run out in the past and had planned on using my Brush Soap. Can't imagine they are much different if at all.

I use JBS Fonic wash for both HP soap and Foam brush works fine. So to answer your question yes you can use Foam brush in your HP pressure side.

We use it all the time at one location. Location pump stand was made with only 1 hydrominder and tank for HP soap and foam brush. We keep FB soap in there and draw off that for both.

Many years ago I knew a SS operator. He used turtle wax HP-11 for High pressure soap, foam brush soap, presoak AND tire cleaner. His SFR was tap water. He did use a real wax (HP-73)but it was so weak that it wouldn't bead.

Anyway, yes, you can use a nuetral ph soap as a HP soap, many operators do.

I know several operators who use soaps that are just scented foaming agents. They do absolutely nothing for cleaning. Someone might notice, but as long as they see suds I doubt anyone will complain. Better than nothing, for sure.

I use Quest's Gotta be Tide for my HP Soap. It's simply a Fragrance that happens to foam really well. In my opinion, at 800+ : 1 , nothing is going to be doing any cleaning but if they don't see suds and smell something then your HP Soap "isn't working".

Years ago there was a guy here on the forum and before his car wash went under he was using Dollar Tree dish washing soap in his high pressure gun and foam brush.

What could have ever caused his wash to go under? 😂
When he bought the car wash he was given a set of books that showed the car wash was making a lot of money and the expenses were in line with those numbers. The sellers sold the car wash on a contact and as soon as the ink was dry on the contract they sold the contract at a deep discount to lending institution and they were nowhere to be found after that. He struggled with it for a couple of years and then started having health issues from the stress so he walked away from it. I felt sorry for the guy, he put his heart and soul into the car wash. After he let it go someone else took it over and they couldn’t make a go off it.

Sad story, sounds like he probably had a bulk of his life savings in there too. Heard it all too often in small business, another lesson of buyer beware and verify literally everything in a cash business where any figures can be made up out of thin air.

I use a mixture of Simoniz correct powder and Simoniz foam additive for my high-pressure soap and my foamy brush. It works well and also seems to clean very well.

Have you ever considered of adding scent in there as an extra layer of pizazz? Are scent concentrates even available to purchase on the market to do this?

That is very unfortunate for him.

I used to order fragrance additive from Windtrax, I think it was made by JBS, but I can't find it now. I don't think people care that much, in fact we sold something that was supposed to smell like a loaded banana split, and some people said the smell made them feel sick.

Lol! Maybe the loaded banana split scent was too sweet? I use Blendco chemicals, already infused with berry & citrus scent.🍋🍊🍒🍓🫐 My Foam Brush is citrus and a couple customers tell me "their addicted to the scent of my Presoak and Wax!" Those are berry. Scent leaves a lasting impression and reinforces my brand for Citrus Heights Car Wash!
