Fragramatic Quadra vacumm

I just attended the Midwest car wash show and was looking at the Quadra.

If I bought one I would expect it to not break a lot and generate a lot more money. I know there are a lot of factors that would contribute to the success of the vacuum. My wash is attached to my Jiffy Lube, I have a good staff (thanks to a great manager).

Can anyone comment on their experience with the Quadra or somethng close? I would be going from a regular vac to the quadra.

Thanks

I have a few Fragramatics combos and my friend has the Quadra. Like all vacs they require some maintenances (vac motor/brushes). I had one of the IDX dual timers fails and that was expensive (like $500). But aside from that they have been good and I would recomend them.

I also have a doyle version of a quadra (the Fresh Impressions) I got used and I would prefer the Fragramatics.

I would sy that to whatever extent you can afford put in a combo vac instead of just a vac. Also, put in Bill acceptors and if possible credit card acceptors as well.

I only have Coleman units and the last ones I felt like I splurged for the bill acceptors. I am very happy with the utilization.

We have three Doyle Fresh Impressions. I've had a few issues that I consider design flaws (Undersized relays for the motors that kept sticking, tube fluorescent lights that wouldn't last a month, crappy adhesive on the door gaskets), but after correcting them I've had no real issues. I didn't like the fragrance gun or shampoo brush head that came with them. The one thing I like the most about it over any Fragramatics unit is that it holds full gallon jugs of each product.

A problem you'll have with any combo unit is that with multiple hoses you'll have customers leaving them tangled, and you'll have to be diligent about keeping them sorted and hung up.

If you're not doing a significant vac business now, I wouldn't expect a combo vac to boost it tremendously.
