Several of my clients have timed output from the bay timer powering the coil of a relay...whose contacts supply power to the motor starter coil.
This is because there is significant voltage drop from their
coin box to their pumping station's electrical panel. (due to undersized
coin box cable conductors or power hungry
coin box devices???) These relay commons are wired directly to the transformer's 24vac hot...providing full voltage to the motor starter's coils when
Soap, Rinse, Wax is selected.
