Here in Ohio, we have a grocery chain called Kroger. When you purchase groceries you get fuel points. For every dollar you spend, you get a point....For every 100 points, you get .10 cents off every gallon on a fill-up, up to 35 gallons. In December, they also give you 4x fuel points on gift cards...So this time I had a total of 1000 points which gave me $1.00 off per gallon, the max you can redeem at one time. I took all the gas cans I had to get the max, 35 gallons....Our Local UDF (United Dairy Farmers) has a similar incentive, but not nearly as good as Kroger.
Even without using the fuel points, I would have never thought we'd see gas below $2.00 ever again. I believe the Gov't has something up their sleeve! They just haven't announced it yet?!?!!?
