hello!

my iba wash has free standing blowers outside the bay that the customer drives under after the car wash.

recently i blew the fuse for the oscillate motor / gearbox. i replaced the fuse and got it working. i thought maybe it got cold etc and was froze up.

more recently, the wash sat idle during a one day cold spell. then when the blowers first came on, i had no oscillate on the oscillating (top) blower.

i noticed what looks like 2 plugs in the end of the gear box. are those for gear oil??? how often do i add gear oil to this??

i managed to get the oscillate working by pressing in contactor manually after i moved linkage with channel lock pliers. it didn't blow the fuse this time.

any ideas?

If you press in contactor and it runs you can have a variety of issues. Excessive motor amp draw. Cause - Bad Motor or excessive resistance. How hard is to move by Hand? Excessive resistance - Bad gearbox, bad motor bearing, some other bad bearing.
