They are terrible pumps. When I worked for a distributor they talked us into selling them for a while. We sold a lot because they were about $100 cheaper than the General T1011, and there were many, many problems, water leaking into the oil, or all the oil leaking out suddenly and the pump throwing a rod, and the ones that did manage to survive and last a couple years came in for repair in such bad shape that the cost to repair was more than the pump.

This was a Southern Pride unit 6 bay setup. Yes I can see water in all the pumps in the oil. Drained the oil in all of them. Ordered oil seals from Kleen Rite 3.97 for 3. They have to get them from Giant. Ordered plunger seals also. and check valves. Will rebuild all the pumps and as they fail I will get cat 310.

The Fellow that owned southern pride back in the day was behind giant pumps and now owns part of the company is what the old guys told me and the Giants are horrible like MEP said a nightmare get you some cat 310"s and chime on or Arimitsu I have installed some for my uncle back in 07 and never touched them since. The southern pride pump stations are excellent i have one at a site from 1979 and runs like a champ just well maintained. I could tell you anything about southern pride or carolina pride equipment. I live 30mins between the two companys my whole life southern pride is out of business now was a good company back in the day 70'S and 80"s the racing flags is because they sponsored Richard Petty haha. Good luck man.

A family member had a car wash late 60's to middle to late 80's. He only used Bernardi bros. wash. Had two turbo washes and 3 bays of SS. Always dealt with Tony Varano of Bernardi Bros. When Ron Bell bought them out he went with a Southern Pride unit wit HOT presoak.
It used to eat the seals out of that presoak pump. I met Ron quite a few times, i had the chance to be in the right place at the right time and Purchased one of the TV show's General LEE in 1979. I Actually sold the car to Ron Bell. He was a salesman but always a gentleman.
Dont know if he is still around.

Actually the the wash we purchased at auction had a Bernardi Bros HUGE electrial panel and There electrionic soak dispenser.
We are going to take the front of the equipment room out and remove that old Monster.
