My Allen Bradley relay, on bay #2, is chattering to the point of throwing my breaker. Tech came out & changed my GinSan GS-27D, & that fixed it....for 12 days. Now doing the exact same thing again. Any advice...?

You should also contact the "tech" who did the repair and tell him what happened. Most reliable service companies will warranty a repair for 30 days or so. Hold their feet to the fire. Chattering can be caused by low voltage. It's a little odd that only one does this. If it were a case of low voltage it should make them all do that. What you might try is to just swap the chattering part with another and see if the problem goes with it, or stays with that bay.

I am pretty sure on Ginsan units.... each bay is self contained. Except for the weep. It has been 2 years since I worked on one though!

you might check the wiring from the coinbox through the coinbox switching, back to the ER controls. may have a wire that is coming loose. maybe the switch for motor in coinbox is having problems. fwiw
The above from Stuart is right. Also Check the 24V coming to the Allen Bradley contactor. If it is putting out intermittent 24 V voltage then it can be the Ginsan 27 again. You can also replace the 24V transformer.

When you say "coinbox", what exactly are you referring to? Also, what do you mean by "coinbox switching...ER controls " ?

ER Controls: where the wires terminate from the meter box
I would pay closer attention to the "Motor Latch" and HP function wires from the meter box to the equipment room.... also through your buttons or switch. You can meter them while on and off to see if the wires and buttons are working correctly.
But since there was actually a tech at his location.... I would assume the tech would check the wires already?
So if that does not help.... try bypassing the GS-27D and seeing if that fixes the problem. Maybe the GS-27D really is breaking the system somehow? Also by bypassing the GS-27D you will be able to tell if the transformer is okay.

Is the coinbox actually where you put your money, in the bays? Forgive my ignorance, as I just bought this, after coaching 24 yrs.
Buttons , & switch. Where are those? Where you put your quarters, in the bays?

Yes.... a coin box or meter box is where you put your money. Ginsan likes to use buttons.... but they sell meter boxes with switches instead of them. But your system may not be "pure" ginsan.... (another brand) it really does not matter either way. Everything works the same.... basically.

we bypassed GS -27D, & it would fire up & work. Does that mean GS 27-D is bad? That's what I am thinking...

The GS-27D does actually do things.... Even though they are not necessary. The functions are basically….. if any LP function is ON no weep in that bay. Low water cuts off all bays and the best feature an one second delay for HP.
So since you just replaced the GS-27D something connecting to the device is causing the issue.
Or the problem will break the GS-27D over and over again.

that's what I'm thinking......that it must be something else. Common sense is telling me that. We just replaced the GS, & it messed up in 10 days. Also, we seemed to have diagnosed it going bad on bay 3 as well.....frustrating...!!!!

I would definitely not put a new GS-27D in that bay either. You have to figure out the problem first.
I would try putting a meter on the terminals of the gs-27 to see if you can figure it out that way.
But if you have the problem in 2 bays.... It has to be the weep or the low water float or the wiring for those. I would think?
My guess would be the low water float. Your water level could even be to low maybe?
