Why do you need a Goldline ACW to go to Cryptopay? What kind of ACW do you have now?

The ACW 4/5 is a little more of a pain to do, because you have to do a tiny bit of board work. You have to snip a resistor and solder a jumper. If that intimidates you can could take it somewhere like a small TV repair shop and they could likely do it while you wait in five minutes.

Is that still a thing? There was one near us that closed many years ago.

Cool, is there a wiring diagram we can reference?

Over the years I’ve a lot of the board modifications on the ACW-4/5 controller board to install the Cryptopay display. I do it a little differently than what the instructions call for. After I cut the 5 volt regulator off the board I turn the board over and install the jumper on the backside of the controller, I find it’s easier to put the jumper on the backside than on the component side of the board.

TVs are still very repairable, but no one wants to because you might have paid $2,000 for your TV ten years ago but you can get a bigger better new one for $700.

CRT TVs are still in small demand, but it's a tiny market and there are stockpiles of new-in-box TVs and monitors in warehouses that never got sold.

I just installed Nayax on one of our ACW 5 - best upgrade over the old Hamilton system that was on it. Easy kit to install.

Do you have a link to the kit? How does the operation work...is there a specific sequence customers must follow or can they tap, then choose wash or choose wash then tap? Do they have to choose the wash on the Nayax unit or can they use the acw buttons? How does the transaction show up on their credit card statement...your wash name? Sorry for the barage of questions but I wanted to use Nayax on my Wash Selects a couple of years ago and these were all issues I ran into.

With Cryptopay the customer has to select the wash, then swipe their card. I believe that's to avoid them purchasing wash credit then refunding the money.

Cryptopay shows up with a default name unless you have them change it to your wash name. I believe this is the main reason for the majority of the chargebacks.

Mep, are you talking about Cryptopay or Nayax? I have Cryptopay on some ACW 4/5’s, a Goldline and two WSII’s. I’m was inquiring about his Nayax setup.

I was talking about Cryptopay. I have no experience with Nayax. Sorry, I wasn't sure if you were asking about Nayax or both.

No link, have to call to order, car wash services out of TN, will send you the contact info directly

Either way works, they will get pre-auth for the top wash if they use nayax first, then final charge will get adjusted according to wash selected.

ACW buttons, no double selection needed.
How does the transaction show up on their credit card statement...your wash name?
This can be adjusted to your needs by Nayax support.

No worries, I'm a nayax fan so far with our SS and IBAs, but limited time using nayax. Our top wash in the IBA are about 75-85% CC, so we needed an upgrade from the old hamilton insert and pull out quickly reader that apparently everyone forgot how to use already. Nayax has been a nice, modern improvement

Unless they changed this policy it should show up with your wash name but you can change it. We added "Pre-Auth" as a prefix to our wash name.

Do you keep the same merchant accounts and this is just a hardware replacement or does this require all new accounts? Just curious if I could keep all the e-xact settings and just replace the hardware.
