What would be a good deal, on a price, for someone to install a used laserwash 4000 in my Wash? Virtual treddle, 3x foam, pay station & on board dryers. I already have a pay-station, but am removing it....along w/ my D&S 5000. Son & I will be around to help as much as possible. Wash is already here, so they don't have to move it, I also have a forklift & will cover Hotel costs.
I am looking at hiring someone other than dealers/distributors... also, there are ZERO codes & regulations in this town. SO not to worry about plumbing & electrical being a big hang up.

If you intend to use installers that have never installed a 4000 with docking dryer before, then I would strongly urge you to get your hands on an installation manual. Getting the rails perfect is essential to getting the on board dryer magnets to marry up. Also if you are hanging your laser on the walls it is important that you have the right size hangers for the width of your bay. Don't forget about the extra set that goes on the home end of the rails or your dryer will not dock correctly. The other important part to a laser installation is the electrical. Do not cut corners. Do not let an electrician tell you they can do it better. It must be wired according to the manual or working on it later will become a nightmare.

I would think a good deal on installation including plumbing, electrical, extra materials and parts needed, and start up would be $8,000. A more realistic one would probable be $20,000. Just my two cents.

I was checking on having an auto installed and 8, 10 and 15 k were the prices i was quoted. I am all for saving money but you will be better off getting quotes from the local carwash companies and WRITING an agreement saying something to the effect that 75% after install and then have a grand opening after you think it's good and run it free or cheap for 30 days. During this period they do service call labor free with technician on site within 24 hours and you pay for any necessary parts.

I have done 2 laser 4000 in the past 19 months I would say to have it done right at least 20-30K new festoons Prox switches gear boxes rollers white paneling ECP Unitec Paystation ect...everything its at least going to be this and once you start it up you will need to run it for 2-3 weeks before you give away free car washes all day or all week for free bc you will have little Bugs in it. You need to remove your old equipment yourself and this price is still you and your son working your tails off for 2-3 months I know from personal experience. You will be Mentally shot also the part people do not tell you when doing such thing, Also get a quote from a local PDQ distributor and a WashWorld Distr bc they also can get 90% of the parts for it also.

email me at southernpridecarwash@gmail.com my Facebook southern pride carwash for pictures of this process

Good Luck with the process

What you may save by using non car wash people to install will probably cost you more in the long run. These units are not plug and play. I would check with your closest PDQ or Washworld distributor to get a quote. My guess is that if you try to get installed without someone trained to deal with this unit you will need to anyway to get it running properly.

I a little over 10k for my used High Velocity. Used a Washworld distributer. When I install my next one I will put all new prox's and all new wiring. It took a few months to work out some little kinks but all in all its been a great experience. Not looking back, I removed a low volume express 47' tunnel and put in the high velocity and have been washing more cars then ever. Happiest 2 1/2 years in business.

I don't know what your skills are but if you can mount the machine, cabinets j boxes etc based on manufacturers instructions and have an electrician go ahead and run conduit to the appropriate locations and THEN call a carwash company for a quote to finish that may help. No need to ask them what it costs IF you do this because they won't want any part of it unless it's literally already done and right. If your electrician is sharp and you have another install to copy it may work fine. If you can't at least hang the machine yourself you'll be ahead to just have someone do it all. Put it on a credit card or wait until you can save up the money.

20k Is nothing to install a Laser 4000 unless you can install everything and read electrical schematics your self and do low voltage controls and have a laser with no problems on a cold start up is almost impossible in this business you better find a local Washworld or PDQ distributor bc who are you going to call to get service on a Friday night or a Saturday when you have cars lined up to the road and get parts and service that alone means a lot. Just brand new wall brackets and hardware alone is 4-7k to have your machine set up correctly and last for the long run unless you like working on it every week and having a lot of downtime and run customers away just saying.

Also PDQ will not give Technical Support on a used Laser if not Original owner which nobody else will tell you I learned hard way
