My autocashier has a noisy fan/motor. Probably should fix berfore it gets so cold that my fingers go numb whilst screwdrivering gloveless.

Anybody got a tip for me?

SW Indiana melon fields.
My ACW 4s and 5s haven't had fans for years. It's probably no big deal if it works or not. Maybe if it was facing the sun all day in Phoenix, but in MA I doubt if heat would ever be an issue.

I think a thermister controlled the fan, and only came on when really hot. My fan has been long gone, but the hamilton still uses the heat tape when really cold.

Maybe there is a plug connector on the fan that I can simply disconnect?

Found out I need the fan on my Goldline cashier. Randy Nix told me. Thanks, Randy!

My ACW fan was making a noise. Saturday, (when I took out the controller to solder in the new and wonderful display) I got from Randy, I found that the fan grill, was rubbing the fan blades making the noise. Note: The controller doesn't need to be removed to get to my fan. Just tossed that in for the opportunity brag about my new Dixmore Red display again! Picture link of what I call the fan grill below:
