Hamilton paystation acw5 and laser 4000 not communiting

Odd day my paystation was taking money and saying thank you drive ahead
but not issuing the wash?
Then says car wash in use and so on...
All wiring seems ok (only 6 wires 4 washes and other two?)
and it is happening every so often more often than not is was frigid cold
could it be the controlor? One time today it said baud?? Inbetween powering off the paystation
i can issue a free wash
no errors
just no comunication
any thoughts would be great im leaning towards the controler hopefully not
controler is about 5 years old and gets ice cold around here
thanks

Just throw this out at ya, The time of entrance might of changed in the programming of controller or time out time may be change to weak battery in controller IF it does it on all washes I wouldn't think relays would come in to play here . Doubt I helped much but I know you can ck relays left 3 are interchangeable also GOOD LUCK

The relays are clicking and turning orange it's working at the moment my Paystation has been talking foreign languages to me on cold days I have to reset it sometimes German sometimes Chinese. And sometimes it says Baud

What kind of display are you using? Cryptopay, Dixmor or Hamilton? You could have a couple of problems. It could the controller is bad or it could be the display is bad. When it says “BAUD” on the display it’s searching for the display rate, Baud is the refresh rate of the controller. I’d install my spare controller and see if the problem goes away. You should also check “Cycle inhibit” relay, it’ll be mark “CI” on the right side of the relay pan. You could also try reprogramming the controller. Turning it on and off doesn’t clear any errors. There is no German or Chinese words in the controller. I see in another post your using a ACW V4.24BC-9E controller they are worth repairing if that is your spare that needs to be repaired from the other post. What credit card system are you using?

Hamilton display
the cycle inhibit set at .3s
as for the language sometimes when its real cold out our when resetting the machine the display will read in different language then u have to repower or push a button on controler to get it back to english
i messed around earlier not sure what i did but been working
just scared its gonna crap out on wash day?
All wires seem good
i pulled out all the relays blowed on them? Including the cycle inhibit, repowered and it washed about 20 cars no issue.
Would any of the contacters on the controlers be bad possibly i did unplug harness and replug
this controler im using is the same one that has a bad .25 contact on controler.
Thanks
credit card is thru hamilton exterior add on
fyi it does take money and cc and says thank you drive forward just wasnt activating the wash

Whats involved with reprograming the controler?

To completely wipe the memory from the controller you have to remove the controller board out of the pan and remove the BRAM mode and the memory chip from the board. But it sounds to me like the controller has been corrupted, the thing you can do then is send it in. What's wrong with your spare controller? If your using the VFD display, that's the Blueish one that you can't see when the sun is shining on the front of the ACW you'll want to replace it with a Red display #100-020, list price is $298.00

Has a red display
Ran 75 today with no issue
Just waiting 😂
Keep ya posted
Maybe was a loose wire? Or my magic blow on the relay.
Just wandering why it changes languages when bitter cold And says Baud time and again .
If those are normal once in blue blue moon or if it's a sign she's on her last leg?
When u reset a controller does it wipe car counts and all the stuff u can't clear.

Ontario, I know exactly what you're talking about regarding the display. I have several ACW's but only one with Hamilton's red display. The others still have the VFD displays or the Dixmor red display. The Hamilton red display is the only one that occasionally comes up with 'BAUD'. To clear it I have to power down the machine and sometimes when it powers back up the display just scrolls random characters. It may take 3-4 re-boots to get it to display properly. Hamilton warrantied the display the first time because it was less than one year old. This second display is more than a year old so I just live with it now as it doesn't happen very often. I don't believe the display issue has any connection to the other problem you're having.

Hey Randy my acw has the add on top display
And it's not showing anything the 2" one is ok .
If I remember there was some "not used" setting that need to be set to allow the top display on?
Thanks
