I'm having a problem with my hamilton acw4 that is hooked up to a pdq 4000. Every time my pdq goes down the hamilton still takes money instead of just going out of order. Anyone have any suggestions?
There are a couple of things it could be. What validator are you using? What does the display say on the front of the ACW when it goes "Out of Service"? Is the "Out of service" signal getting from the PDQ controller back to the ACW?
I have a mars 2612 validator in the acw. The screen say out of order but the validator still accepts bills and of course my customers don't read the screen before they put their money in.
The problem is with the validator and not the ACW. Who installed a AE2612 validator into the ACW-4? A Mars AE2612 validator is a 24 volt upstack validator with a compact bezel. You should be using a AE2631 downstacker validator, which is a 110 volt validator with a VFM bezel. Can you send me some pictures of this install? I’d like to see how it was done.
