Have you added any self serve bay selections?

I am looking to go from 8 position rotary switches to 10 position switches. I plan to add an in bay air dryer. What other option should I consider adding? What has been profitable for you?...tri foam, super sealant (Rain X), bug off, tire/wheel brush, compressed air, etc.

Tri-foam and an extra rinse - our customers use it a lot and like it. Operating costs are minimal.

Instead of going from 8 to 10 and adding two selections, you might consider going to 12 position so you have another spare slot if you think of something else you want to add. Until you do, you could have an extra rinse and split tire cleaner and degreaser to two spots.

Added tri foam a year ago last month. Sales increased 5800. Can not say tri foam caused all of the
increase but it had to of helped. Do see people using it when I am their. I installed it myself and the
cost with all I had to buy for a six bay install was covered with the increase. Total cost was 5000.
Other car wash owners in the area said it would not be worth the money as people don't use it.
I can say they were wrong in my area as customers use it a lot. Went thru first set of polish that
came with system and now have used half of the second set.

Mr. Hoffman added a compressed air line. I think he regulated it down to 50PSI with a basic trigger gun. People uise it to blow out interiro and exterior nooks and crannies.

People aren't generally dumb enough to spray themselves in the face with 1000 psi of water pressure, but they'll do it with air.
