Hey all, I need help with the model number of this Standard Changer. I want to get a Mars upgrade kit to replace the old System 600 and want to make sure I get the right one. Lots of bill rejection especially new crisp bills. Tried cleaning, calibrating, tweaking the power supply everything I could think of. So I guess it's time to bite the bullet and upgrade. Also any recommendations on kits to replace an XE validator on an ACW 3/4? 185662463_286549153185947_2162929386977861814_n.jpg 20200512_152740.jpg 186481048_953041042121265_7458256886337516506_n.jpg

Etowah Valley, unless Hamilton has something easier to install. The EV kit requires that you move the controller off the door and run a wire to the display. It's not a difficult install, but I'm not a fan of leaving the controller just sitting on a shelf not mounted to anything. You lose the ability to track bill denominations too, but I suspect that's the case with any Mars upgrade.

That’s an antique Standard, it’s so old I can’t remember the model number. Standard makes a convention kit the will fit right in here. But with the damage to the door and the condition of the front of the changer I’d replace the changer. The only Mars conversion kit for the Hamilton ACW-4 is available from Etowah valley. If your handy there’s no reason why you could build the it yourself.

Glen,

If you can talk to the right tech at Standard ... you should be able to get exactly what you need to order. For sure Kris Kious (long term techie overseer) will have that information. BTW ... IMHO ... anything 600 is not antique since I am pretty sure there are still 500 (circa 1987) around waiting to be upgraded. Our two "4 hopper-3 bill compartment" Standards are more protected inside our laundromat so when we upgraded it was with the 600EFs ... partially because being able to retain the ability to sort the denominations of bills vs the single sort Mars.

That's a SC-10 changer from the early 80's. The Mars conversion kit you want is a #4K01328-FI

the conversion kit gets rid of the acceptor and the stacker, currently I would go with the coinco kit over the mars. unless you can find a ae 2632 u5 24 vac since mars switched over to the talos. I currently see the coinco as a better acceptor. if you can still find the ae 2632 u5 that is the way id go but vs the talos today i'd pick the coinco.

all that being said if you can find the 2632 i'd pick it up and then just order the rest of the kit without the acceptor you'll save money and be happier in the long run with the rest of the kits features vs the 600 ef features.

I think you might be a little late to the party. He installed a conversion kit about 3 months ago. You couldn't give me a Coinco vantage validator.
