HELP! Paystation problems

My American Changer paystation isn't taking bills anymore. I've turned off power to reboot, I've taken the lower harness out & tried rubbing sensors w/ cotton swabs/alcohol. Even tried screaming & kicking the base,but NONE of that is helping. It has a CoinCo Mag 52 SA validator. Any advice? I'm finally up to 12 cpd on the used LaserWash I bought.
YES, you read that right "UP TO 12 CPD", as it was doin 6 cpd, when I bought it, & it had an archaic D & S 5000. My goal is to get it to 15 cpd, & be making 2 & 1/2 times what it was doing!

How long has it been since it was last serviced? It might time to send in and get it serviced. Do you have another validator to install to see if it's the validator and not something else. The Coinco Mag-52SA validator needs to be serviced regularly, they do wear out.

Its working today! Not sure why.... I didn't know they had to be serviced regularly.... & by "regularly", how often is that? I've owned this wash for 8 mos, & never serviced it...

In your case with a low volume location it should be serviced probably every 18-24 months would be good. In the interim you should clean the validator about every 90 days or so, clean the rollers, sensor eyes with 99 proof rubbing alcohol and Q tips. It doesn't hurt to blow the dirt from inside the validator every other cleaning. Don’t use rubbing alcohol or cleaning cards or any other cleaning agents on the belts it will degrade the belts. I’d start looking around for a spare validator if you don’t have one.

I've got 3 Mag 50 Coinco validators that I removed from a Standard changer when I changed to Mars. I don't know if Mag 50 will work for you, but I don't need them.

The Mag-52 SA validator is a 24 volt validator

I don't know off the top of my head what voltage mine are. Attached is a pic. They have been on my office floor for 6 months waiting on me to get around to put them on ebay.

The Mag-50BAB is a 120 volt validator.

Send it to a CoinCo service center. For about $150, you get it back like new. They turn them around in 1 week.

Do yourself a favor and convert over to a Mars validator. The Coinco validators are junk! Call American changers and ask them what you have to do, you might to change the mounting bracket. Or you can look on EBay for a validator, but then your rolling the dice if it'll work or not.

NO! The Mag-50BAB is a 1220 volt validator. The Mag-52SA is a 24 volt validator. I'd look into replacing the CoinCo validators with Mars.
